Giants Game: A national humiliation

What can I say, I could not bear watching the game yesterday. Defense looking inept, offensive line looking like a thin veil and the coaches looking like amateurs. The whole team gets an F for the performance.

Holiday Greetings! Vinny Cerrato is gone

My cell phone was buzzing with text messages this morning with the news that Vinny has resigned. I tell you what, that is the sweetest thing I have heard in a long time as far as the Redskins goes. I had planned to write a multi part post titling Vinny Cerrato Must go but I am glad to say that I don't have to toil writing that. So now the speculation game starts.

Grades from the Raiders game

Overall, good grades this week.

Offense:

JC: Awesome game.  A+

Devin Thomas: A

Santana Moss: B. Too many drops.

Fred Davis: B+. Stop dancing in the endzone

Ganther/Mason/Rock: A

(Most point scored in a long time. What can I say. Everyone gets a good grade)

Defense:

Orakpo,Carter: A (They are managing to get themselves some sacks without Haynesworth) Read more »

Jason Campbell, clearly the MVP of this team

It appears that Jason Campbell has turned a corner and improved his game to a level that he can be considered as a really good QB in the NFL. The way he has been playing the last few games tells me that something has clicked in his head. He is doing the things that he has not done consistently before. He is being decisive, stepping up the pocket while looking down-field and correctly throwing to the hot read when he is blitzed. Oh, he is also throwing the long balls much better. Read more »

Vinny Cerrato Must Go: Part 1

If there is one constant withing the last decade with the Redskins, it's Vinny. Vinny, the right hand man to Snyder has dragged the team to a national punch line many times during his reign. I have so many gripes against him that I cannot really list it in one post.  DC Sports Bog is reporting about some comments that Schottenheimer made: Read more »

Suisham cut, Here we go again

Sometimes you've got to stay with a player when they are down because of the body of work. Yes, Suisham had 3 missed field goals, costing us 2 games. But he was kicking very well for us in the early part of the season, when all our points came pretty much from field goals. He will be picked up by some other team and become another David Akers again.

Thoughts from the Saints game. URGHHHH!

1) Greg Williams' gut.

2) Campbell Yesss!

3) Running game Yesss!

4) Karim Moore! Yay! Karim Moore Nooooooo! Refs c'mon! Maybe, that was not an interception, the ball was loose. Maybe, Karim Moore was down by contact before he was stripped. Refs bail us out!

5) Greg Williams' gut. (stay away from Emeril's restaurant)

6) Campbell Yesss!

7) Devin Thomas, Welcome to the NFL!

8) Suisham!!! Not again!!! Read more »

DSMG mentioned in Washington Post

I was interviewed last week by Robert McCartney of Washington Post. Basically he wanted to know about what I thought of John Riggins' comment and what I thought of his philanthropic activities in the area. Following is an excerpt from the article: Read more »

bit late, but my take on the Philly game

Been busy this week and did not get a chance to blog. So here's the weired part about last game, I am now satisfied with just moral victory. Our losses were so painful early in the season that now if I see a game where we are competitive, I am happy. This is what we call lowering your expectation in the business.

I thought JC played real well and there is a visible difference in his game than what I saw earlier in the year. He is making the decision faster. Read more »

Not sure what to think of the game against the Cowboys: Positives and Negatives

Skins pretty much dominated the entire game and should've won the game. But our inablilty to score TD's is not new. This year could be a record  setting year for the skins to score fewest points. Now with two more starters out who were backups to start with we are running out of bodies in O' line and running back. This has been a bizarre season in terms of injuries. Silver lining is Rock is running with passion and Anothony Montgomery is not a big drop off from the Rhino.

Positives: Read more »
